The Blackthorn is found throughout Ireland and the British Isles, and it has been prized for centuries as a material for premium walking sticks. The most well-known incarnation of the classic Blackthorn stick was the Irish Shillelagh a tool that was so fearsome in trained hands that the English outlawed it. To circumvent this law, the Irish modified the Shillelagh into the classic walking stick that we are familiar with today. Cold Steel's modern interpretation of this beautiful and historically significant walking stick is made from high impact polypropylene. It's incredibly durable and is easy to clean with a little soap and water.
